It's installed

I couldn't wait any longer. And with my free month ticking away, I just had to install the game on my laptop. I am on absolute minimum settings right now, which sucks, but oh my god is it ever worth it! I am only level 6 but man is the game good! I really feel like I am leading the story here. Sure, there are other people around me, but when it comes to the story line quests, I feel I am in control of the outcome of The old Republic.

I don't know how Bioware did it but instances are actually instant. I can walk right up to a cave and, as I enter, I enter alone which is pretty cool. I also got my droid today. T7 was his name I think. This little guy is funny lol. Gah, there are probably twenty different things I want to mention and discuss but that would take all day.

I seriously can't wait for my new PC to get here. I want to experience StarWars: The Old Republic on high visual settings.

Oh and one last thing. The voice acting is amazing and it really pulls you into the story. I was actually upset for this NPC after one quest I did. Then I was proud on another. Just amazing! Anyways more soon!

Tick tick tick!

You are not going to believe this. I bought the game, SWTOR on boxing day, and I registered it on my account that same day. Well, three days later I am looking through my account for the fan site kit and I see that I only have 27 days left of my free month. What the hell? Since when did gaming companies start doing that?! I am waiting for my new PC to arrive before I decide to play but with boxing day and new years around the corner, shipping is at a stand still.

Any way, there is nothing I can do about it except expect to only get two or three weeks of free play time. Hopefully it's long enough to allow me explore and experience some of the deeper aspects of the game.

First Post

Hey hey how's it going today?  I am having an awesome time waiting for my dang monitor to ship!  I ordered a 21" widescreen on Christmas day.  NCIX was having some sweet Web-Only Boxing Day sales and I honestly thought I would be that lucky guy that gets his monitor the next day, haha.  Ah well, this just gives me more prep time for the Blog, Youtube, Website, Underwear, and stock piling my Soda collection.  I am a Pepsi fan, sorry Coke lovers.  Oh, here I will show you guys the main pieces I ordered for my new rig.  Keep in mind that this is a budget PC and when I say budget, I mean I emptied my piggy bank for this sucker.

Again, nothing fancy but well exceeds the minimums for StarWars: The Old Republic.  One really good feature about this mother board is the video card.  It's an RADEON HD4250 1gig (on board) and performs pretty well.  The main selling point for me on this was the fact I can crossfire it with another video card.  I plan to buy a new one in the coming months.  Maybe an early birthday gift, mmmm!

Oh my god!  Never try to hold off going to the bathroom, it's just not healthy.
